VAL Motion Pictures is an independent film production company located in Chicago and was founded in 2021 by Shay Van Lue. The name “VAL” is a contraction of the founder’s last name, “Van Lue.” A graduate of Columbia College Chicago, Van Lue holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Cinema Directing and Marketing.
Accomplishments include two independent short films and numerous marketing campaigns for local and corporate businesses.
Van Lue is slated to direct two more short films and a feature film with pre-production starting in 2024.
